Fajr Intl. Film Festival invites global filmmakers to submit works
TEHRAN- The 43rd edition of Fajr International Film Festival has announced a call for entries, aiming to identify and promote valuable cinematic works from Iran and around the world.
The festival also aims to encourage and support the production of films that are in line with Iranian cinema's values and themes, the organizers have announced.
The festival will prioritize films that tackle themes such as social justice, human rights, fighting extremism, terrorism, and promoting a virtuous lifestyle, family values, and moral education.
Films from Asian and Islamic countries will also be showcased in the festival, promoting artistic excellence and contributing to the development of cinema with a noble approach.
A special section of the festival will feature first and second films from young filmmakers, aiming to support and showcase their work.
In addition to the competitive sections, the festival will also feature a non-competitive section showcasing selected Iranian and international films that have been showcased at other international festivals.
Furthermore, the festival will include side events such as the award for Best Interfaith Film, Resistance Award, retrospective screenings of films from other countries, and a film market.
The 43rd edition of Fajr International Film Festival will be held in Tehran from January 31 to February 10, 2025.
